About the Project

Supported by funding through the Department of War, the team is accelerating exploration across Michigan and Minnesota, utilizing an in-house team responsible for five discoveries in five years.

Talon’s vision is to support the nation’s strategy to reduce reliance on foreign-sourced critical minerals.

The Tamarack project recently completed the 60-day public comment period on the Scoping Environmental Assessment Worksheet and Draft Scoping Decision Document. Next, the DNR will review submitted comments and issue a Final Scoping Decision to determine what will be included in the state Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). This will be followed by a Draft EIS, Final EIS, and additional public comment opportunities.
